The Secret View Cottage in Terrington, York was an absolute gem! The cozy room made me feel right at home, with its warm atmosphere and comfortable furnishings. And let me tell you, the view from the cottage was absolutely breathtaking. It felt like a dream!

The only thing that didn't quite tickle my fancy was the fact that there was only one bathroom. But hey, that's just my personal preference.

The bedding and towels were luxurious, and the inside of the dishwasher was spotlessly clean. The views/location were beautiful, and the communication with the host was spot on. I loved that there were board games and a local information pack available, as well as a small DVD collection and Smart TV for entertainment. Additionally, the provisions for catering were really good, with plenty of crockery, cutlery, and kitchen supplies.

The location was a bit out of the way, with the closest supermarket being nearly 7 miles away. Additionally, there were a few stray dog hairs on the sofa, which could be an issue for those without dogs.

As longer term business travelers, we loved the fully equipped and stylish cottage, with excellent information in the guest handbook. The luxurious bedding and towels, spotlessly clean dishwasher and beautiful views/location were all standout features. The communication with the host was spot on, and we appreciated the provision of board games, local information pack, and entertainment options like the small DVD collection and Smart TV. My stay at Secret View Cottage in Terrington was delightful. I visited the Howardian Hills and the location of the cottage was perfect. The cottage itself was comfortably designed with all the necessary facilities for a couple of nights. The host was incredibly responsive and provided excellent directions to find the place. The bed, bedding, and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the views from the rooms were lovely. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I could think of, and there were plenty of games, books, and DVDs available. I particularly appreciated the torch at the front door for taking my dog out at night, as it was pitch black outside. The location was quiet with no disturbance from neighbors, and I highly recommend going outside at night to marvel at the beautiful view of the stars. it was a fantastic stay.
